The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, with a variety of well-prepared dishes that satisfied our expectations. However, the dinner service during New Year’s Eve was noticeably slower, likely due to the large number of guests celebrating the occasion. While the wait was understandable given the holiday rush, a bit more efficiency would have improved the experience.
Overall, Hotel Budapest offers great food, a prime location, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a little attention to service during peak times, it’s an excellent choice for a stay in Sofia!

Mixed Feelings
1. Clean rooms and bathroom.
2. The bathroom seems to be newer. Good water pressure.
3. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.
4. Breakfast was great. Lots of variety and very tasty. I didn’t eat dinner there, so I can’t comment on that.
5. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Kinda similar to Tempur-Pedic.
6. Located very close to the bus/tram system and about 15-20 min walk to the city center.
My only con is the smoking. It is a non smoking hotel, but my first room clearly smelled of smoke. The second room I was reassigned to was clean, but then later that night, someone smoked in the hall. A lot. I have bad asthma so that became an issue and I ended up traveling home a day earlier than planned.
