Santa Claus Holiday Village Hotel – A Magical Stay in the Heart of Lapland
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Santa Claus Holiday Village in Rovaniemi, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a festive atmosphere that truly captured the spirit of Christmas.
The accommodation was cozy, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Our cabin was spacious, featuring a private sauna—a perfect way to unwind after a chilly day outside. The room was well-equipped with modern amenities while still maintaining a charming, rustic feel.
The location is unbeatable, situated right in the Santa Claus Village. It was incredibly convenient to visit Santa’s office, cross the Arctic Circle, and enjoy the various winter activities like husky sledding and reindeer rides. Plus, the breathtaking snowy landscapes made for unforgettable moments.
The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of hot and cold dishes, including traditional Finnish options. The on-site restaurants also provided delicious meals, with a cozy ambiance perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ensuring guests had the best experience possible. Whether it was arranging activities or providing recommendations, their service was top-notch.

Great destination for everyone
A wonderful destination that is perfect for Team Building or traveling with family. Everyone in the group loved the place and even though the agenda was heavy, Santa took the stress away. Rovaniemi is a nice town with nice restaurants and offers a setting for relaxing walks.

Beautiful- but has its price
Very nice location. Fantastically lit and probably the best Christmas experience ever for children!
However, we were very disturbed that everything (and I really mean everything) is incredibly expensive.
Below are a few examples
2 adults, 2 children
- Santa Claus visit - €50,00 for the photos (ATTENTION- the Santa is twice - the right one is the one at the Arctic Circle- not the one next to the reception)
- Reindeer sledging - €170,00 (for the "long" distance over 500m)- however, there are at least rentier skins to cover, that was then ok.
- Husky Tour €180,00 for 1.5 km (although in the car and not in the sled due to too little snow)
- Feed reindeer €50.00 a day plus food (bag of moss or branches á €5.00)
If you want to eat something now and go to Santa's Burger and Pizza, for example, is from €18 per pizza and €8.00 per burger, so fat ratz away €60.00 as a family of four - without it being anything special culinary.
The coffee or cocoa costs at least €5.90.
ATTENTION: Pay attention to the opening hours and ideally move countercyclically (weekends are packed and day visitors are active between 10:00 and 17:00, so you can queue up for husky or reindeer bookings for 60 minutes) or book your activities online as early as possible.
We stayed 4 nights in the center of Rovaniemi with rental car and then 4 nights at Santa Claus Holiday Village. The sauna in the village was great, however, the price was completely excessive and as breakfast buffet unfortunately a flop.
Better to stay in Rovaniemi or the surrounding area and visit Santa Claus Village quite flexibly by car and also go for a flexible meal.

The location is very good indeed with spending in amount of US$590 for 2 nights . The front desk services is good too! However, the aluminium plating of shower cap is peel off that my finger is hurt. 4 pieces of towels are turned into grey colour and their edge are thrown. There is no connection with house keeping or front desk about your problem in room, you need go to front desk next morning and request to change the shower cap and all towels. So trouble! Honestly said, it is not worth living in with high prices.

Service is helpful but need attention on room cleaning. They only make up our bed. Location located at the center of the attraction, all was walking distance. Breakfast was good enough and staff were wonderful.
