A stone's throw from everything
Strategic location to visit all of eastern Sicily; Anna and Vincenzo very kind and very nice know how to give you the right advice on what to do and where to eat; the pool is the added value to relax and refresh after entire days of hiking; highly recommended

Strategic place to stay x visit the whole eastern area of Sicily, from Taormina to Syracuse, the gorges of Alcantara, Etna, the picturesque villages of Aci Trezza and Acireale; the owners Anna and Vincenzo very nice and helpful, ready to give advice on what to visit and where to eat; the pool the real added value, on returning from a day of hiking you can relax and cool off surrounded by nature and with Etna in the background. Clean rooms despite the ash rain a day before our arrival, they went out of their way to make us find the structure clean and the pool usable in a very short time.

One week stay...
We stayed a week in the middle of summer in this b&b. At the entrance, the outdoor spaces are a beautiful sight... a common passage area and car parking where the rooms and the kitchen area for breakfast are also located. The swimming pool, small but lovely, is located in a private position in relation to the rooms, but unfortunately it is also open to external guests who are not guests of the structure. This resulted in a couple of days of non-use as it was really dirty. At guests' disposal there is also an area with table and chairs where it is possible to have lunch and a barbecue at a cost of 10 euros (excluding charcoal). The quadruple room is large, but not refined, with essential furnishings: a couple's wardrobe for 4 people. TV whose satellite has no reception, only RAI being visible and with difficulty. Beds really hard and not comfortable.
Finally, breakfast is worth mentioning: entirely self-service (no one from the hotel present in the breakfast room in the morning) is entrusted completely and independently to the guest and includes commercial bagged snacks, some of which have expired, rusks with industrial jams, biscuits, pre-packaged cakes from hypermarkets, yogurt and juices. Coffee pods and milk to be heated in the microwave or on the stove. So much so that we were forced to have breakfast outside a couple of times to discover the goodness of the place. Furthermore, the breakfast room is not air conditioned and you practically eat in the sauna. The rooms do not have a refrigerator: there is a small fridge in the breakfast room which however cannot be used by guests to refresh their supplies as it is full of food and drinks intended for sale to guests of the structure. Finally, the welcome wasn't quite as typically warm as one expects here in the south. Coming from far away, we in fact arrived about 20/30 minutes early... something that was immediately pointed out to us by the owner as a reproach upon our arrival, right from the knock on the intercom and throughout the acceptance process carried out in the garden on the fly with the delivery of documents.
I don't know... maybe we were too full of expectations... but not even a shadow of the Sicilian spirit that they thought they would find in the breakfast dishes and in the hospitality.
I wouldn't go back.

È proprio vero che non si può piacere a tutti.. ogni tanto, fortunatamente raramente, arriva la recensione negativa a cui mi sento in dovere di rispondere in quanto, le inesattezze di alcune suoi racconti mi obbligano a dovere replicare. Nonostante fossimo in alta stagione estiva, vi è stato applicato immediatamente uno sconto al vostro soggiorno e addirittura avete avuto il coraggio di chiedermi un ulteriore sconto al momento del pagamento. L orario check-in ha motivo di esistere in quanto L host può accogliere al meglio il cliente, offrendo sin da subito tutte le comodità del posto. Se vi ho fatto notare in modo educato che avevate anticipato è proprio per il motivo appena detto. Nonostante questo abbiamo fatto i salti mortali per darvi le camere all’ orario concordato. La mia accoglienza viene sottolineata in positivo in ogni recensione da tutti i clienti, guarda caso solo voi vi state lamentando. Mentre raccoglievo i vostri dati vi ho dato mille consigli su cosa vedere e dove andare a mangiare bene. Cosa volevate oltre questo, il tappeto rosso all ingresso? Eppure ogni volta che vi chiedevo come vi trovavate rispondevate sempre “tutto ok”. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, vi voglio ricordare due cose: intanto non siamo ristoratori, la nostra è una colazione all italiana, ricca di tante cose tra cui vari tipi di brioscine preconfezionate, perché come vi ho già spiegato, ci vuole una licenza per somministrare torte o dolciumi vari fatti in casa e non tutti i B&B la possiedono e molti rischiano anche sulla salute dei clienti. La cosa che mi fa arrabbiare è leggere che c erano brioscine scadute e questa è una grossa bugia, perché qualora fosse accaduto in un soggiorno di una settimana me lo avreste detto immediatamente, ma siccome non potevate dimostrarlo state mentendo qui.
In quanto alla sauna in cucina, siete capitati nel periodo più caldo dell estate, dove si sudava con tutta L aria condizionata. Altro problema segnalato è la piscina, sporca in quanto usata da un paio di persone che non erano ospiti del B&B? Perché, solo i clienti della struttura si lavano e gli altri no??? Ma se vi trovavo spesso in piscina e mai ho sentito una vostra lamentela! Tra le altre cose noi puliamo tutti i giorni la piscina…Solo al check-out, quando vi sono venuta a salutare come faccio con tutti i clienti, mi avete detto che avreste preferito un tipo di colazione diversa ed io vi ho dato la mia spiegazione. Per il resto mi avete detto che era stato tutto perfetto.
Altro problema, la tv. Anche in questo, nessuna lamentela durante il soggiorno. Per forza, le tv funzionano perfettamente e prendono tutti i canali.
Problema: arredamento delle camere. Le foto sono in bella evidenza su tutti i nostri siti. Sapevate già dove avreste soggiornato, in stanze pulite, semplici ma ricche di ogni comodità. Se ambite al top, vi consiglio di andare in un albergo lussuoso e di pagare peró per ciò che vi chiedono. Dalle sue continue recensioni ovunque va, penso che lei non veda L ora di promuovere o bocciare il lavoro altrui. Faccia pure, ma scriva il vero cortesemente. Sicuramente non tornerete più e noi ce ne faremo una ragione, perché come ho scritto all inizio, NON POSSIAMO PIACERE A TUTTI. Buona vita…

TO AVOID... BAD
Very bad.
First of all, as soon as we arrived, we found a centipede in the shower. But the surprise was a package of rotting frankfurters on the cupboard, discovered by chance because I glimpsed something. Cleanliness almost non-existent.
In the evening, going to dinner, we left the light in the room on so as not to find it dark when we returned, since we have two children.
But no, the light was off! Maybe someone entered voluntarily to turn it off?!?!
Let's talk about breakfast. Milk expiring 2 days later, loose snacks from which it was not possible to deduce the expiry date.
So don't go to Mr. Vincenzo! You can't improvise as a B&B manager!

spectacular b&b
excellent hospitality, welcoming and helpful with everything. excellent location, timely breakfast. for any eventuality or advice on places to go they are available, it is truly a stone's throw from everything. It was wonderful to stay in this b&b.
