Fabulous Stay at Burghof Hotel

Hotel Burghof is fabulous. It is like a B and B yet has the amenities of a hotel. A 3 minute walk from the train station and bus stop. Amazing cleanliness. Lovely Breakfast. We purchased a daily bus pass for 2 for 7 euros and saw all of Hof. Most buses meet at Sonnenplatz city center for transfers.

Consistent value for money

Zimmer 306. The room has a beautiful view over the east of the city. The decor is nostalgic tasteful. Room and bathroom are neither particularly large nor particularly small. There is a small fridge and a table fan: indispensable on hot summer days, as it is then quite muggy in the room. What room service does besides emptying the trash can every day was not apparent to me. Bedding and towels have stains or holes throughout. A bag of bath salt is served, but you cannot take a bath because you cannot close the drain. Perhaps, however, the bathroom is also just in the renovation phase, as only a naked incandescent lamp hangs from the ceiling and the bathroom fan makes cruel and long-lasting noises. Breakfast is charged at five euros, accordingly one should have low standards, it covers the most necessary needs. The hotel manager tries, but with a slight penchant for chaos: So on a morning when I had to get a train, instead of 6:30, she didn't come until 6:45 to open the breakfast room, and all she said to me was: "They've been waiting for half past seven." Strong nerves are needed in such situations! On the following days, of course, she was always on time. On weekdays there is a café in the afternoon in the breakfast room with excellent cake and a very friendly and professional staff.

Lovely, classy hotel - welcoming too

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very nice decor and breakfast. Apparently I have to write 200 characters but don't have much more to say - just a lovely hotel with friendly welcome! more words to get to character limit.

Unpleasant Family Visit because of the Wending Machine

I was travelling withy Family to make a small recreational trip. The kids wanted to buy something from the wending machine, but we couldn’t cause it was broken and because of the prevailing pandemic we couldn’t visit any store near by to purchase the things that was already available in the wending machine but didn’t have access to. When I asked for help, they responded very rudely. The trip turned out to be inconvenient because of the Situation.

Clean and tidy

Good place, maybe a little on the middle top tier of the price range. Good location, big room, and some small details with good taste. Breakfast was included but it was mostly packaged jams and products with a few add ons that make it ok
