Good value for money, spacious rooms with modern amenities
The homestay is located close to the market place, though one may have to walk a bit on elevated roads. Also, our room was accessible through a flight of stairs, which can be an issue for anyone with mobility issues, but there are some rooms on lower elevation also. Very good high speed internet was also provided.
Simple but good food was provided for breakfast.

A British era bungalow with old world charm converted into a guest house
The place is maintained sparklingly clean. The complimentary breakfast is the only food made at the guest house.... it contains very few items but they are well made.
On the flip side, the bungalow is located along a very narrow road, descending very sharply from the main bazaar junction Laitumkhrah. It is impossible to step out for a stroll or to walk up to a restaurant. Meals ordered at the guest house are prepared at a restaurant owned by the same owner and brought by staff on a "Scooty". The 'sabji' and 'daal' were fine but the chapatis were simply yuck.
Do book at Mid Pine but only if you have a vehicle at your disposal or of you have very strong legs!
