Harmony, peace and cordiality

Harmony, peace, cordiality are meanings of the word Concordia, a name that this wonderful Parador receives, a mixture of castle and Aragonese palace, at whose feet the city extends.
Friendliness on the part of the Parador staff is a constant. At the reception, this treatment is already perceived with indication of the various tourist activities in the capital of Lower Aragon.
Having a refreshment in the café located in a vaulted room with elegant decor including medieval-inspired wall paintings is an unrivalled experience.
The restaurant, located in the lounge called “La Concordia” and with imposing palatial decoration, stands out for its beautiful wooden lookout ceiling. The lighting of the hall, very accomplished, seeks enough calm to taste its gastronomic offer, mixture of tradition and avant-garde with dishes nobly executed. Unforgettable Aragonese rice with borages and boletus or the delicious ternasco of Aragon, exquisite delicacy.
In the chapter of the break, in the rooms, equipped with excellent mattresses, there is an absolute silence ideal for deep sleep.
Breakfast, magnificent: fruits, tempting almonds and butters, fruits of Aragon and even a structured wine from Campo de Borja to toast such a memorable stay.
A good choice this Parador, monumental complex in an exceptional environment and with careful attention, that takes care of every detail. Congratulations to your staff!

Stately Accommodation in Aragón

Great stay at this majestic parador which enjoys a prime and commanding position atop the lovely old town of Alcaniz. Half castle, half convent, it radiates character and history from its mighty walls, and the views are incredible. Our duplex suite was spacious with classic, low key furnishings, excellent showers, plus mini bar and hot drink facilities. There is plentiful, free parking, a bar/cafe open throughout the day, and a stately looking restaurant serving lunch and dinner (food was excellent in the latter). It’s a short walk into the town, where you’ll find plenty of alternative eateries and bars. The remote location means you really need a car to explore the region, though the town does have a bus station, with regular routes to Zaragoza and Teruel, amongst others. The reception team were helpful, with good English skills, and our impression was that the Parador is well run and immaculately maintained.

A great stopper

Excellent stopper. We stayed in a very spacious and comfortable room, the bed was very comfortable. There was quite a variety of dishes in the restaurant, which is to be appreciated. I have been to other paradores that limited the choice of dishes quite a bit. Despite being in the works, it didn’t bother customers.

Old Parador on top in Alcaniz

On top in Alcaniz.
Spacious room with a view.
Restaurant with a good selection of local inspired food and wine. Good service.
Due to road work it was not easy to find our way through the narrow streets up to the Parador.

Travel to the lower Aragon with a splendid accommodation

Parador very well located near the center and with nice views. Spacious and free parking at the door of the stopper. This is an important issue for us. The enclosure half castle and half superb convent. We had half board and everything very well including the attention of the staff.
