Great improvement

I recently visited this hotel again after a very long period of time, with a team for Hope 4 Kidz International. This hotel has greatly improved in the years interms of services, accommodation facilities and the great pool.
Our team greatly enjoyed stay for two weeks at this old hotel.
Wifi available, ACs in all rooms and working., constant hot water running.
I think it is regaining its previous glory again.
Visit it.

Outdated

My recent stay at Rock Classic Hotel in Tororo fell far short of expectations, leaving much to be desired. Despite the promising photos and descriptions I had seen online, the reality upon arrival was a stark contrast.The exterior of the building showed signs of wear and neglect, while the interior lacked the polish and sophistication the rooms were outdated and lacked basic amenities. The furnishings were worn and dated, and the overall ambiance was anything but pleasing. Additionally, cleanliness seemed to be an issue, with signs of neglect evident throughout the room. But what I will say is they are pretty flexible when it comes to checkin with travelers

Stopped by for lunch

Was traveling with the family. Stopped by for lunch. First, beautiful land and buildings. The pool was very busy and people seemed to be having a good time. There was no signage showing where anything was. Literally stumbled across the restaurant while wandering around. They looked closed, they assured me they were open, we were the only people there for about an hour. Outside of the pool area, we only saw one other family and a couple. Like other reviews have said, staff needs to smile. No one seems happy. The service was just okay. The food was VERY good! Just wished it hadn't taken 45 minutes. We thought about staying the night, but after the experience with the staff, we decided to push on.

Disappointing experience

Rooms are stuffy with poor lighting, discoloured towels and beddings.
Hotel is a bit run down, shower tiles falling apart.
Service can be improved upon and do something about WiFi in the rooms.
Food was average.

Wonderful Mission trip hotel

We stayed here for 10 days in July in three single beds for my husband, daughter and I. They seem to be continuously trying to improve the hotel as there was ongoing work. Anytime we had an issue, they were quick to respond/repair. There was hot water for quick showers that filled back up quickly enough. The water pressure wouldn’t quite get through my hair, but there was an option for a lower faucet in the shower and I was able to squat or kneel to wash my hair. Really had no issues w mosquitoes or bugs despite some holes in the ceiling and doo/window to outside. They did a good job w laundry and the room was always cleaned nicely. Very limited power outages and while wifi was weak, it was plenty for us as we just used to catch up briefly in the evening and using in the lobby was fine. The food was better than I had expected, but we were part of a group and had buffets, so, not sure if that is the norm.
