Great find
Staff friendly and one of the best breakfasts we have had. I'm definitely coming back with our doggy.
It was unmanned when we got there but did have an email explaining this the day before we arrived so it wasn't an issue.

Terrible! Left in tears. Very lucky police weren’t called!
Room was lovely, clean. Lovely dog bed and treats set up. Lamp didn’t work but that is minimal. Comfy bed :)
On breakfast (ok breakfast, not amazing and was help yourself buffet style so it was quite cold) but very edible if your not fussy. Blond lady advised we needed to pay for the dog before we leave. I explained that we had email etc and was advised we didn’t need to. We assumed it may have been good will gesture as no one answered the phone or our queries. Email shown to her and she said she would consult her manager
5 mins later a unprofessional looking man rudely said to my fiancée that he needed to pay £16 for the dog and his time to vax. He said this infront of other customers who in which approached us to say he was very unprofessional.
Fiancée advised we would address once we have eaten (half way through our breakfast)
On check out I tried to show said man the email and said they can’t not decide to charge us £16 for a dog they quite clearly emailed to say no additional cost (assume he is manager although he did look and act like he was not paid to be there, very grumpy and not interested)
I said I’ll pay the fee to avoid arguments however I would be putting a review as I thought this was very unfair and others should be warned. He shouted at me telling me he has to vax the rooms etc and he refused to read the email and shoved the card machine in my face and told me to pay and never come back there and he would be contacting booking.com
I walked out in tears and yet again other customers stopped me outside to say they had witnessed his behaviour and checked I was ok!
Absolutely shocking! Such a rude nasty man! You should be ashamed as the place could with a few tweaks be lovely. And maybe a change of hands!!!!
Mortified and so disappointed and felt completely intimidated and forced to pay something we weren’t expecting!
Manager was not interested in one thing I had to say…. Didn’t even look at me or try and discuss.. until the card machine was basically thrown at me. Neither my other half nor myself raised any voice nor were we rude… this was witnessed by 3 customers.
Also upon leaving we saw what we originally thought was a squirrel.. it was infact a rat!!!!
