Daffodils Galore!

We had visited here shortly after lockdown & promised ourselves a return. Last time we saw glorious Autumn colours, this time in Spring, the grounds were ablaze with daffodils! The riverside walk is beautiful.
Our room was clean & comfortable with a large bathroom. It took ages for hot water to come through in the morning, but did eventually.
As other reviews have mentioned, the best part of our visit was the excellent food.
Breakfast is freshly cooked to order & served by very efficient staff. Dinner is an experience to be enjoyed! The menu is varied for all tastes, food is beautifully presented, & portion sizes allow the enjoyment of 4 courses. (The only quibble was a supplement of £15 for a rather small steak- a bit excessive we thought. )
All the staff are friendly & welcoming. If you wish to visit Perthshire, a booking here is to be recommended!

7th visit to relax and eat

Our 7th visit....love returning to our favourite country house hotel where we are guaranteed good service, great food, warm welcome. We know what we're getting and there is a real joy in returning and relaxing immediately. We know that some of the rooms may benefit from a refurb but this is not an issue for us and the cleanliness and functionality is 100%. We had lunch (sandwiches) as wanted to enjoy every moment of our 2 night break to recharge the batteries. The beauty of returning is that we have visited most of the surrounding area so just enjoy the local walks, wildlife and hotel. Shame the bird feeders have disappeared. Look forward to visiting again.

The best place we have ever stayed with our dogs. The breakfast is excellent. Lovely grounds to walk dogs. We would not stay anywhere else.

Overnight stay and dinner

We have been coming here many times and noticed an upgrade in the quality of the food .. as always the location of the hotel was excellent .
Right next to the river with nice paths to get all on ..
You feel like you are miles away .
The food was was simply brilliant superb quality and excellently presented by charming knowledgeable staff ...
We come for one night simply for the stunning food experience and a night stay over as a treat .
Don't start me the breakfast !
We will continue to enjoy our treats here as should you.

The Hotel is Tired But The Food Is Outstanding

We stayed for two nights taking advantage of an Itison promotion.
The welcome was warm and friendly but the room was disappointing. The furniture is very tired and the single glazed windows meant that the room was quite cold even though we had the radiator turned up high.
The quality of the food served at dinner was outstanding but it was disappointing that the menu was the same both nights and the choice was not extensive.
An enjoyable stay but, due to the poor quality of the room, we would not return.

Thank you for taking time to add your review. the Hotel is about to undergo a full refurbishment of all bedrooms, This will be done sympathetically to the tradition of the Hotel and will not interfere with future bookings. The hotel will remain operational throughout the room upgrade. We are so pleased that you enjoyed out fabulous food, there is a large selection of dishes on the menu and the dishes do alter, I am very sorry you feel the choice of dishes was restrictive. I do hope you will reconsider visiting again.
