We enjoyed our stay here even though it seemed a tad bit dated. It was clean, private, and quiet. We were able to get a good night’s sleep. The young woman at the front desk was knowledgeable and courteous.

It was a place to spend the night. Bathroom was old and shower door almost seem to be falling apart.

Loved the location and proximity to the ocean (we walked down for the sunset multiple nights). Room was spacious and had a small peek through the trees to the ocean. Beds were hard and it hurt to sleep on my side. Normally, I can handle hotel beds, but this one was just really uncomfortable. Shower had very little water pressure and there was a light out at the vanity. Yes, this place is one of the old spots, but it could use some updating.

I arrived late and had easy access to my room via a lockbox. I was looking for water but the one soda/water vending machine they had was out of order. The room appeared clean but definitely outdated. The bath had been re surfaced but it was wearing off and there was rust around the drain. The mattress and pillows were both hard and uncomfortable. As a result, I had two nights of broken sleep. The next morning I awoke to flys buzzing around the room. The one hour breakfast window allowed for coffee from the office, a box with a stale croissant, a cookie, and two mints. There were also apples available. This lodge was more of a motel.

The hotel was located within walking distance of the monarch sanctuary and the beach. The gentleman that greeted us at the counter was friendly and professional. The room was clean and spacious. My only complaint is we were awaken by what seemed like banging on pipes and maybe some repairs that were taking place in a nearby room.
