Alight stop
Checked in but hit with a parking charge the minute we arrived.
Room was spacious and comfortable if a little noisy from above and in the corridor, not a good sign when you see a bag of rubbish in the corridor outside a room in the evening.
Comfortable enough bed and a reasonable area good access to the subway to get into town.

Thank you for sharing feedback on your recent stay with us. We apologize for not meeting some of your expectations. We also regret your disappointment regarding the parking charge. Parking on the street surrounding the hotel is complimentary if you prefer that in the future. Thank you once again, and we hope you will visit us again when you are back in the area.
Sincerely,
Travis Carbaugh

It was worth what I paid
Breakfast pictured a waffle maker and there was no waffle maker. The ice maker is on each floor and it’s weird to operate. I am sure it’s to stop malfunctioning but you need to basically wave the object in front of it to get ice or water. On the Staybridge side you hear the train when it passes through. Eventually you get used to it if you are from a big city like Chicago or NYC but at first you’re like OMG. You don’t hear people in the hallways but the doors are so heavy that you hear every slam. You also hear everything from the people above you. Both hotels the toilet seats are so cheap they slide when you sit on them. I’m less than 200 lbs and considered average size and weight. I’ve never experienced that at a hotel and I was annoyed. I was gone most days by 7:30 but on check out I figured I would sleep in and got an 8:15 wake up from housekeeping asking if I was ready to leave or staying a little longer. There should be a system like other places to communicate when people have checked out.
Only difference from Staybridge and Holiday Inn side is the beds are better and there is a kitchenette. Both offer a sofa bed but the one in Staybridge is bigger. I would stay at Staybridge if I returned and I am still deciding if I would return. Not so much about the hotel but the traffic in the area was awful.

Could improve housekeeping, it was a bit random about changing towels and cleaning the room. Could do with a “please makeup my room” card to hang on the door like most other hotels have. The whole hotel could do with a good dusting.
We knew about the $15 per day parking charge, but it does seem excessive and doesn’t guarantee a space in the car park.
Breakfast was okay, but random as to what was available each day. Equipment for waffles, pancakes and toaster frequently not working, and regularly ran out of cutlery and crockery (probably all taken to peoples rooms), and had to resort to paper plates and plastic cutlery.
One of the elevators frequently broke down.
Staff overall friendly and helpful, apart from breakfast where they seemed busy and understaffed.
