Go somewhere else!

Terrible hotel. Smells bad when you walk in, extremely dated, general manager is insanely rude, breakfast was gross. There are not many hotels in Wooster, but there are definitely better ones than this. I suggest not being rude to people that are paying to stay at your establishment. DO NOT recommend!

Great hotel but noisey guests

Noise - Parents traveling with their kids acted childish. They made so much noise that they got kicked out of the lobby. You would think their common sense would tell they were being considerate because it was very late. They made so much noise going back to their rooms. I had to get up & asked to be quiet. I shared with people are trying to sleep. One dad laughed & said you don’t look sleepy. One mother laughed. One mother complained they got kicked out of the lobby. I couldn’t believe the behavior.
The hotel should reminders about quiet time. Most of Hilton properties have this notice posted every where. The hotel was great. Everyone at hotel was helpful. Hotels should have “noise fines” for people who clearly doesn’t practice mindfulness.

Hotel needs help

This hotel does not meet the Hampton or Hilton standard. No on is ever at the front desk. Housekeeping is spotty (they are having housekeeping issues?). We have had to go to the front desk for fresh towels and trash bags almost every day. And they advertise a pet fee of $75 but tell you when you arrive if it’s over 3 days then its $150.

Fine stay in Wooster

I’d call this Hampton “fine” (hence the “average” rating I’m giving it). I had to travel for business and read reviews before picking so want to do the same for others. I’ve stayed at many Hamptons and this one isn’t much different but it’s definitely older.
Pros:
My room was clean
Good breakfast
Close to stores and restaurants
Pool looked nice if you want one. I personally didn’t use.
Cons:
If you use a fitness center when you travel this one is lacking. Just weights were available plus a non-working (said it couldn’t connect to WiFi) Peloton bike. The strap on the pedal was also broken. Now that I look at the TripAdvisor pics they do show a treadmill and elliptical in there-it’s not there
The blind in my room was stuck down. Didn’t even realize since I got there at night so wanted it down anyways until my last day when I was trying to monitor a snowstorm that I couldn’t put it up to look out the window.
Once I saw the hotel in daylight, it just looks kind of old and dated. Personally I was choosing between this and Holiday Inn Express which is just down the street from this and since I have to come fairly regularly now I’m going to give that a try next time.

The hotel is old and there were several renovations going on. Couldn’t use pool or gym.
